INFUSION SERVICES
Pain Management
Improve Your Recovery
Your healthcare provider may prescribe an infusion therapy for pain management for you, or a family member, who has undergone surgery or is suffering from chronic pain. Infusion is a way of delivering continuous, precisely-measured, pain medicine directly into your body. This continuous delivery reduces pain and the need for oral narcotics for an improved recovery experience.
Infudyne’s unique pain management infusion service provides small, simple to use infusion devices that allow patients to recover in the comfort of their own home, or on-the-go, and includes comprehensive device training, and unparalleled 24/7 phone support.

How is infusion therapy used for pain management?
What infusion services does Infudyne provide?
Infudyne is a Joint Commission accredited infusion services provider that is dedicated to helping patients through their recovery, at home or at alternative treatment sites.
We support most ambulatory infusion services your medical team may prescribe. These services commonly include acute pain management, chronic pain management, chemotherapy, antibiotics, hydration, and others.
Infudyne’s responsibilities include the provision of clean, accurate, and reliable infusion pumps, and accessories, providing comprehensive device training, and offering unparalleled 24/7 patient support.
Where can infusion therapy be performed?
Infusion therapy is generally applied at hospitals, surgery centers, pain clinics, or oncology centers. In many cases, due to the small size and portability of our devices, infusion therapy can be performed at home and on-the-go so you can go to work, to the store or visit friends and family. Infusion therapies are also common in rehabilitation centers and long-term care facilities.

How are your products cleaned and tested?
Infudyne’s infusion devices pass through several documented procedures, including surface sanitation, general inspection, sensor inspection, display inspection, volumetric accuracy testing, bolus functionality testing, occlusion testing, data wipe confirmation, new battery installation and much more. View our quality page for complete details.
Am I a candidate for infusion therapy?
You may be a candidate for infusion therapies. Please check with your health provider. Most facilities offer these types of services and you may already have been chosen as a candidate.
Will my insurance cover infusion therapy?
Most insurance carriers cover most infusion therapy codes. However, for post-operative acute pain infusion therapies, the cost is normally absorbed into the overall procedure code or diagnosis-related group (DRG) that a hospital submits directly to the insurance company for reimbursement and you will not see a separate durable medical equipment fee for our services.

How do I care for my pump?
- Please do not get the pump wet.
- Avoid children or pets touching the pump.
- Avoid dropping or impacting the pump on hard surfaces.
May I reprogram my pump?
No. Your pump is electronically locked and will not allow you to reprogram the settings.

How do I return the pain pump?
- Press and rotate bottom cap of pump past OFF position and remove. Remove the batteries, put the battery cap back on bottom pump and rotate until secure
- Remove the top cassette (cap) from the pump by squeezing the clips on each side (top of pump is where the tubing comes out).
- Discard top of pump, tubing, catheter, and medication bag in your waste bag.
- Remove the pump cap from your padded mailer and insert it onto the top of the pump where the cassette top with tubing attached used to be. If you were not provided this cap, you may skip this step.
- Place only the ambIT pump, top first, inside the inner plastic bubble pouch.
- Please complete the optional satisfaction survey and place inside mailer and SEAL OUTER POUCH
- Make sure that you do NOT send back the cassette, the medication bag, the tubing, or the fanny pack; this should all be discarded as waste. You may keep the batteries.
- You may keep the fanny pack, but it is strongly recommended that you wash it in hot soapy water, rinse it, and allow it to air dry before using.
- Give to mail carrier or take to post office. Postage is prepaid.
- If you have misplaced the plastic-lined padded mailer or have any other questions, please call (866) 321-6363.
Can I leave my pump at the hospital or doctor’s office?
No, the patient is responsible for mailing the pump back to Infudyne via the provided padded envelope.
